With over a decade of experience in technology sales and e-commerce, I thought I had seen it all — until I met Amina, a Magento 1.9 merchant. Amina was eager to upgrade to Magento 2, but after reviewing her backend, the agency I worked for realized Shopify would be a better fit for her needs, both functionally and financially.

When Amina chose to stick with Magento, I knew the challenges she faced. The project costs for migration, Hyvä implementation, and updates were beyond her budget, and the agency I worked for was unwilling to adjust fees. Sadly, I also wasn’t allowed to recommend other agencies that could have helped her, due to company policies. It broke my heart to see a determined entrepreneur, who wanted to grow her business, left without options due to limited industry knowledge and inaccessible solutions.

That moment stayed with me. I knew there had to be a better way. Merchants like Amina, who are the heart of the e-commerce industry, deserve access to honest, tailored guidance. So, I teamed up with like-minded colleagues, and together we founded e-Commerce Matchmaker – a platform that puts customers first.

We believe the e-commerce industry has lost its focus on helping merchants succeed. Our mission is to change that by connecting merchants with the right agencies, technology, and solutions to achieve their goals. Because at the end of the day, the success of merchants is the foundation of the e-commerce community – and we’re here to support it.
